QR Codes, Revitalised Design, And “Frictionless” Booking Fills Empty Seats For Live Music Venue

The Background

The Racquet Club is a bar and restaurant located inside the well-known Elanora Squash and Fitness Centre. It offers classic pub food, modern Korean cuisine, and an extensive drinks menu.

On a regular basis, it hosts a live music event with a rotation of different acts.

The Challenge

While The Racquet Club is a popular venue with great food and a wide selection of drinks, their marketing materials were dated and didn’t provide customers with an easy way to discover details about live acts or even make a reservation to book a table.

Meanwhile, their branding lacked a connection to the Elanora Squash & Fitness Centre’s mother brand which meant they were missing out on potential cross-promotional opportunities and established community goodwill.

Our Solution

We updated Elanora’s physical materials with a more modern design, that leveraged both the mother and sub brand, while adding QR codes for quick and easy website access.

A generic template was created to advertise events, as well as highlight individual performers. All materials offered QR codes for easy smart phone access for booking and event details.

Social media posts went through a similar messaging and branding upgrade…

The graphics for the posts were modernised, copy was rewritten to give clear and concise directions, and booking links and phone numbers were provided in posts, making the booking process ‘frictionless’.

Results

Ultimate Edge’s expert guidance delivered impressive results for Elanora’s live music events. The Racquet Club has seen a progressive increase in sales for their live music events thanks to these simple changes, increasing the frequency of performers to match the new demand.
