In October 2019, the eponymous Gemmy Award was conferred to Gemma Giam for her exemplary service and embodiment of UEC’s core cultural values.
One of the components of the prize was the privilege and honour to design the award as she saw fit without constraint other than it needed to reflect the essence of her spirit and contributions as she perceived them and convey them in her voice, personality and style.
